Students Giving Back!!

During the season of giving, students truly demonstrated the meaning of compassion. PACE students, families and staff collected over 600 food products to donate to local pantries.  To accomplish this goal, students were assigned roles such as, sorters/pickers, counters, organizers, and delivery assistants.  They developed systematic approaches to getting each task completed.  Most importantly, they had to set aside differences, identify unique abilities and work as a team to get the job done.  Brilliant, PACE Panthers!

The work did not stop there.  The Family Enrichment Program, Thornton Township, Ms. Mack, Ms. Wilkening worked together to provide over 200 families with turkeys, chickens, and all the fixings for a holiday meal.  Students earned community services hours by passing out meal boxes, loading and unloading, transporting and providing customer service.  Our students are the greatest!  They have hearts of gold and when given the opportunity, they shine every time.
